Your initial physiotherapy assessment will be booked for either 90 - 60min depending on complexity of a clients case history, and is one to one. Your session will include such things as, discussing your medical history as well as your current concerns. A full physical assessment will then follow. This could include, but is not limited to: running neurological tests, checking ranges of motion of a joint, checking muscle strength, squat mechanics, walking analysis, balance... Depending on the complexity of each client and the degree of orthopaedic vs neurological involvement the first session often does not involve treatment.
Similar to your assessment, all followup treatments, regardless of length, are one to one. Followup sessions are booked for either 90, 60, 45 or 30min blocks and will be based on a multitude of factors which you and I will discuss during the initial assessment.
Full reports or short notes can be provided, however there are additional fees for this. Cost will vary depending on length of report and time required to complete.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY SESSION?

Wear clothing that allows access to the area of concern, and that allows you to move freely

Have any recent imaging or discharge reports available or send them ahead of time

Have any care aids or support devices with you
